verse. Happy to have you here today and as I've been doing this month, I'm reading some things that

folks have written about Pray Every Day and hopefully it's you. If you've sent something in,

a blessing to me in the past six years.

I came from a Catholic upbringing where the Bible wasn't something to read. I've since learned

that's not true. And your podcast has exposed me to it slowly, comprehensively, and lovingly.

Okay, today I am reading from Jeremiah chapter 17 versus 1 through 15 in the

World English Bible, and this is what it says. The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron and with the

point of a diamond. It is engraved on the tablet of their heart and on the horns of your altars.

Even their children remember their altars and their ashropoles by the green trees on the high hills.

My mountain in the field, I will give your substance and all your treasures for a plunder,

and your high places because of sin throughout all your borders.

You, even of yourself, will discontinue from your heritage that I gave you.

I will cause you to serve your enemies in the land which you don't know, for you have kindled

a fire and my anger which will burn forever.

Yahweh says, curse it is the man who trusts in man, relies on strength of flesh and whose heart departs from Yahweh, for he will be like a bush in the desert and will not see when good comes, but will inhabit the parched places in the wilderness and uninhabited saltland.
