September. What are we doing? It's going by so fast. It's going by so fast. I think it goes by

so fast because we love what we do and we love to gossip. So let's jump into it. We have a

ton of gossip today. What time is it, my friends? It is tea time. Big story breaking at the top of the show

that we told you about first. We have to confess, Mike Richards has been fired as the executive

producer from jeopardy. So if you remember, Mike was the host for about a week and then he stepped

down from hosting the show, but he continued to be the executive producer

which made things very very tricky for everybody involved he would not leave so he stepped down

as being the host but he would not step down as being the boss which is what the executive producer

basically is now son Sony have fired him.

Suzanne Pret, who's the EVP of Business and Sony, sent out an email saying the following.

We got a copy of it.

Quote, I'm writing to let you know that Mike will no longer be serving as EP, executive producer, of Wheel of Fortune.

He had both shows and Jeopardy, affected immediately. We had hoped that Mike would step down from the position at Jeopardy. It would

have minimised the disruptions and internal difficulties, but clearly he has not, oh, that's a dig. They thought he would step

down, Donnie. He refused. He dug in his heels and said, you might be able to fire me from being

the host, but I have a contract to be the EP. I was the EP when Alex was there. I was the EP

before. I'm still the EP now. I'm not stepping down. You know, I'm not surprised that this decision happened, but what I am surprised about is the fact that what you allude to, he didn't just walk away. He wanted to go out kicking and screaming. It doesn't make sense. The writing was on the wall. And these people at the show had to have been nervous to work there. There's just all the walls were kind of caving in on him. It just does the show. It's a legendary game show. It's a legendary show. He wasn't thinking about the show or the legacy. He was thinking about himself and probably his paycheck. I get it. He's probably earning a lot of money, but once you lose the confidence of the staff,

he's the boss, once you lose the confidence of the staff, it is pretty much over, although
