And for the second day running, it's hard to know where to start.

I'll begin as I did yesterday with a brief explanation of why we have to talk about this stuff,

British government, cannot be ignored. You know, it's not just the bottom feeders and the

opportunists who sadly couldn't hang around for a quick critique at the end of Nick's show

this time round, but if you enjoyed it last time, then rest assured that my door is always open.

It's not just them that will seek to make political capital out of this. It influences public opinion as well.

So to suggest that these people that someone as important and as powerful as Musk should be ignored is just, I'm not going to say silly, but it's wrong.

So not for the first time. I find myself compelled to mop up some of the mess that has been made by other corners of the UK media

up to and including the Times newspaper, which is a profoundly different organ from the one that

led the line on reporting grooming gang scandals at the beginning of the last decade.

The Times today, of course, is edited by Tony Gallagher, a Paul Dacre protégé, no less, a former editor of both the Sun and the Daily Telegraph, a man, with the possible exception of his own mentors, probably more responsible for the denigration

and the lurch to the extreme right wing undertaken by much of the UK media than anybody else

alive. Because make no mistake, if a foreign politician launches an attack upon this country,

the response would historically be relatively

unified, but the radicalisation of the British right-wing press has never been on clearer display

than today. And remember, Musk is not in any conventional use of the term, even a politician.

Our country, Britain, is being denigrated, insulted by a foreign far-right conspiracy theorist.
