My name is Jennifer. I am an alcoholic.

I've been kept sober since December 5th of 92, and that's my miracle, and the legacy group is my home group.

And if you such an honor and a privilege to get to be at a meeting about colleagues anonymous,

I'd rather be at a smaller one.

You should have heard him laugh at dinner last night when I said, I'm not really big on large crowds.

And they cracked up, and hi everybody over there.

Okay, somebody's probably going to need to get the signer a red bull because I'm really amped up right now.

I want to thank the committee and my hostess and all of you for your enthusiasm in alcoholics anonymous.

This is an amazing event, and it's hardly intimidating at all when 20 people have a big book older than me.

What I'm instructed to do is tell you in a general way what it used to be like, what happened and what I'm like, now I'm not that good at it in a general way.

And I hope that you won't be shocked at my worldliness and levity, but please know that just underneath it there is a daily earnestness.

And that I have not forgotten the fatal malady and that it does, that it is out to kill me.

And you know that what we have is a daily reprieve, we have a stay of execution.
