So it looks like Hollywood is currently tearing itself apart over politics, which is probably why it wasn't a good idea for them to infuse politics into everything in the first place.

If you're on X, the site formerly known as Twitter, you probably saw that the other day Jenna Ortega was trending.

And Jenna Ortega, of course, is an actress who is probably best known as being Wednesday Adams in the Wednesday

Netflix series, as well as starring in the past two screen films as the character

Tara Carpenter. And sorry I had to look that up because I actually haven't seen the past two

screen films. Well she was trending because it was announced that she would no longer be reprising her role in the upcoming scream film.

And you might be thinking to yourself, okay, no big deal, actors drop out of roles in films all the time.

Is this really worth tens of thousands of people tweeting about it?

And in this case, perhaps.

Because you see, literally the day before it was announced that Dena Ortega would not be returning

to the next screen film, it was also announced that her co-star, Melissa

Barrera had actually been fired from the franchise. And it's Melissa Barrera's

firing that makes this story so let's just say politically charged because

she wasn't let go for anything like inappropriate

behavior on set or some crazy personal drama that was causing her to

downward spiral a la Lindsay Lohan and said she was actually fired for this

Instagram story post weighing in on the current

conflict in the Middle East. I have been actively looking for videos and

information about the Palestinian side for the last two weeks or so following accounts

etc. Why? Because Western media only shows the other side.

Why they do that, I will let you deduce for yourself. Usually the algorithm on social media gets the gist.
