by trying to avoid pain in a certain area,

we actually create the very pain we're trying to avoid.

So by trying to not focus on money all the time,

I kept myself broke,

which made me focus on money all of the time.

Jans can be talking about the baggage that we have around money, the conflicts that we

have around money, the limiting beliefs, false beliefs that we learned about money when

we were young people and we've never truly reexamined those beliefs and come to the conclusion that they are just simply not true.

And so when we have these beliefs, we grow up and we become adults who just feel conflicted around money.

We want money, but we also think that money's going to make us bad, miserable people who steal from the poor in order to get rich.

Like consciously or unconsciously, that's what's going on.

And that's why we sabotage ourselves again and again.

We try to follow Dave Ramsey's baby steps, and we just, we never really follow through

because we have these conflicts that are sabotaging our behaviors.
