I am sitting here with author and professional bridesmaid and woman who's had a ton of other jobs as well.

Hi, thank you so much for having me.

So you are the author of always a bridesmaid for hire, stories on growing up, looking for love and walking down the aisle for complete strangers, which comes out February 7th or came out February 7th depending on when this episode airs specifically.

But you're also an accomplished writer.

As I was reading your book, I was thinking you are clearly someone who, and this before I had done all the research to discover like, oh yeah, you did a ton of writing.

So I was like, either there's some really good ghost writer here or you are someone who studied writing but who also got into being a professional bridesmaid.

Yes, I have been writing, wow, since I was probably six years old, it's been my passion.

I majored in poetry in college. I always knew I wanted to be a writer of some sort and I loved nonfiction writing.

So for as long as I can remember, I always wrote about my story, what was happening in my life and that's what led me to write this book right now.

Did you ever, this is like a weird direction to take the interview, but I'm going to embrace it.

Did you ever want to just be a writer and not do all the like going to weddings for strangers thing because here, and I want to delve into being a professional bridesmaid.

But I was thinking about it this morning, I was thinking, my God, that's the worst part of the wedding.

Oh my goodness, yeah, I see what happened was I started a blog in 2011 after I graduated college had no clue what to do with my life.

And that blog was a place for me to write honestly and openly about what was happening in my life.

Flash forward a couple of years, I was always a bridesmaid for my friends and I wrote openly about that.

And then when I made this a business, I figured why not tell the stories, things that I've learned from the women I've worked with, and also about my personal life during the time that I started this weird business.
