Over the past few weeks, we've covered a few different names of God. Jehovah Jira, meaning the Lord will

provide. Jehovah Rafa, meaning the Lord that heals. Jehovah Nisi, meaning the Lord is my banner.

Jehovah Shalom, meaning the Lord is my peace. And tonight, we find another name of God here in Psalm 46 that I'm very excited to

kind of dig out here with you. And so I hope you're there by now in Psalm 46. And it's only 11

verses, so we're going to read all 11 verses. We're also going to be partaking in communion at the

end of tonight's service. So we have that to look forward to as well. Psalm 46, verse 1, says God is our refuge and strength.

A very present help in trouble.

A very present help in trouble.

Therefore, we will not fear,

even though the earth be removed,

and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea,

though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling.

There is a river whose stream shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacle of the

most high. God is in the midst of her. She shall not be moved.

God shall help her just at the break of dawn. The nations raged. The kingdoms were moved. He uttered

his voice. The earth melted. The Lord of hosts, everybody say Lord of hosts, is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge.

Come behold the works of the Lord who has made desolations in the earth. He makes wars cease to the

end of the earth. He breaks the bow and cuts the spear

in two. He burns the chariot in the fire. Verse 10, be still and know that I am God.

I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us.

The God of Jacob is our refuge. Heavenly Father, we now invite you into our Bible study.
