This is the Tom Harbin program.

We've had some talk of religion, not just of faith, but of religion, even specific religions.

And with the choice for the abortion debate, it's perhaps unavoidable.

And I don't always feel up to those conversations, it threw me a bit.

I'm neither a good Christian nor a good atheist, I don't even know if I'm going to person.

What comes to me when I hear evangelical politicians,

and what I think about issues of faith when they are presented in political debate,

we don't have to try to avoid them, and I think sometimes that's fruitless.

What comes to my mind is that God spoke to me.

If I were confident in the specific moral dominance of a single faith

that purported off of the only path, and I believed off of the only path to salvation,

then if my gift is my song, wouldn't the only moral path be to spend every breath

recruiting people to that faith? That I don't do that, it gives me away.

My own actions every day betray my apostasy.

At the same time, I'm not ready to toss aside many of the cultural and moral underpinnings
