Zucker has been the president of CNN worldwide since the beginning of 2013.

Now I joined CNN at the end of that year and I've always wanted a chance to interview Zucker on

camera or on stage some sort of televised interview about his role running CNN.

And it's even more interesting these days, given the headwinds from the Trump White House.

Obviously, for several years now, President Trump has a long history. Obviously for several years now President Trump has made CNN one of his top targets.

And he has a long history with Zooker, dating back to the days when Zooker was running

NBC, and Trump was starring on the apprentice.

So I recently had that chance to interview Zucker on stage at CNN's Citizen Conference

in New York City. I spoke with him about a lot of topics

but began with of course the days big news. What is every day is big news?

That is President Trump, his attacks on the media, and the role of truth.

Granted, this is me interviewing the boss, so you should judge it accordingly, but we got into it.

We mixed it up on several different topics.
