Actually, the triumphant Bernie Sanders.

For those of you who have listened to this podcast or have followed me at all on Twitter,

I've kind of spent six months at war with Bernie Sanders, not over policy, but because I really

wanted to get him on the show.

It was really frustrating. I grew up in the same exact neighborhood as Bernie Sanders. I know

none of you know I'm from Brooklyn. I never talk about that. Or that were Jews. But Sanders went to

high school with my mother. But I really wanted to talk with Sanders, particularly

during the New York primary, about the issue of race in Brooklyn, because I grew up in a fairly

segregated neighborhood, Sheepshead Bay, Gravesend, Midwood, Woody Allen, Brooklyn. And so we'd talk

with the Sanders folks, and I had gotten a little aggressive on Twitter,

particularly calling out Michael Briggs, who was Sanders' communications director, his press

secretary, a really nice guy, because I really, really wanted Bernie.

Well, I never got Bernie.

We still may get Bernie.

We're still trying to get Bernie.
