Our first question comes from an immigrant from Central America.

I have lived in the US for 17 years.

While here I have been subjected to every possible scrutiny by the government and others.

My life has been turned upside down, and for the last 34 months I have been unemployed despite continuously applying for work at several

different places, including those with low wages and that require little to no skill. Some local government agencies have been blocking my ability to

find employment and I have also been subject to violence and neglect from the ones who are

supposed to serve and protect me.

Do I have any rights?
