Thanks for having me. So I want to start by asking you how you got started. How did you get started

biking? I got started as a young kid growing up in New Jersey and somehow I

had a bike and I fell in love with it. So it wasn't like there was a crew of people doing it.

It was always like an individual thing for me. I had a bike and I like jumping curbs and things

like that. And I remember being into bikes and then going to a magazine store and finding a BMX

magazine. And then now it's pretty much like my gateway to the sport. Every month I would go to the

magazine stand, pick up a new magazine, and just obsess over it and try to learn everything I saw

in it until the next issue came out. Oh, nice. And what were you riding? I mean,

was it mostly like urban stuff or were there trails that you would ride back then? This was like

in the early 80s. So it was all BMX when I first started. And there weren't really any tracks or

anything like that. So it was basically just like riding around town, jumping curbs, building small

jumps like behind my house, things like that.
