He's trying to shake it off and hopefully it is at the foot.

In your estimation, just how big a loss is this?

It's significant.

Now, they, of course, can overcome it, and there's going to be a lot of times this season, and I'm sure they'll make it look easy without him. But when they kind of draw up their game plans and they try to attack an opponent's weaknesses, Edelman is kind of a guy who helps kickstart the whole thing. You know, if you've got, like last year, for instance,

in the AFC championship game against the Steelers,

the Patriots knew the Steelers, two inside linebackers,

Tim and Shazir, couldn't move laterally that quickly.

So they put Edelman in a lot of crossing routes.

They isolated him against the linebackers as much as possible,

and he had a field day.

There's next week against the Chiefs, assuming Marcus Peters likes to still play six to eight

yards off the line of scrimmage, they probably would have put Edelman across from him and tried to

just nickel on Peters with those lateral routes as much as possible because
