I just want to say thank you.

Today's story comes from Jeff Fister.

Twenty years ago, Jeff was driving his

toddler to school on a busy morning in St. Louis.

His toddler was in the back seat.

I was at one of the city's busiest intersections.

The light turned green and out of nowhere a car smashed into the back of our car.

We spun around like a top while the other car flipped and landed upside down.

We were shaken up, but luckily we were okay.

And so I got out of the car with the kids.

There was a police car pulling up, EMS, fire truck, and the baby started crying and it was overwhelming.

I was at this street corner directly across from a major medical center.

So there were a lot of people on their way to work on the corner.

And I turned around and a lady... people on their way to work on the corner.

And I turned around and a lady came out of the crowd and just held her arms out.

I guess she could see, you know, I was pretty shaken up and I just handed the baby to her.

She was wearing some kind of health care uniform, maybe a nurse or a assistant.
