Well, I remember when I was a young Christian, I was wide-eyed.

I was excited about the idea of learning what it means to be a follower of Christ, brand new to

the faith.

And a friend invited me to a Bible study.

So we entered this little cozy home, and I marveled at its warmth.

And it's like I couldn't wait to be in their shoes young and

married and having a family and leading other people as just young single girl a small candle flickered

on the stove but Christian plaque hung on the wall and this couple had this little baby they were

tucking into bed right before study started and the wife asked me to go with her to the kitchen to grab

some snacks so I followed her in and close behind, and we got into the kitchen.

She turned around, she leaned in close, and she whispered this to me.

I'll never forget it.

She said, I keep having affairs and I can't seem to stop.

I was just young 20-something, you know, I was sure I heard her wrong until she said it again. And then she added,

my husband knows in case you're wondering, and he's just hoping I'll stop. My jaw dropped. I was
