Young Geesey helped bring trap to the mainstream.

But these are rap albums and it is rap month here on Bullseye, not producer month.

So what does Geesey bring to the game?

Well, that audacity that we talked about and an incredible voice, gravely and impossibly

deep.

And certainly he isn't the most intricate MC, but he is immensely quotable.

On Kendrick Lamar's masterpiece, Good Kid Mad City, Kendrick name drops and quotes

Geesey directly.

Geesey is now 45.

He dropped the young from his name more than a decade ago.

And he has a book, Adversity for Sale, You Gotta Believe.

It just came out last month.
