Summary

Today we saw another breakaway full of talent. The heat leading up to the Pyrenees is taking its toll on the Peloton. There’s no doubt that Tadej Pogacar will not go down without a fight as he continues to hit Jonas Vingegaard when there is an opportunity.  Michael Mathews comes out with a stage win on the type of stage and finish unsuited for his style, making it much more impressive.

Welcome back to J.B. Squared. I'm J.B. Hager, along with Johann Bruniel, and today we're

0:08.4

going to take a look at stage 14 of the 2022 Tour de France. And as I've told many people

0:17.1

just doing this coverage, I don't know if it feels the same way for the riders.

0:21.0

I'll ask Johan that.

0:22.7

But once you get about through that first week, it just sort of flies by.

0:28.4

It just absolutely starts moving faster.

0:31.0

I'm not sure if you feel that same way.

0:32.7

But we'll talk about that and a lot more with Johan.

0:36.5

So first, though, here are Lance and George with a couple

0:39.6

of offers from our partners. So the other day, George and I were talking about these energy

0:45.3

gels from a Swedish company called Morton. I've heard that many teams in this tour are actually

0:50.0

using Morton despite being sponsored by other brands. That's what I'm hearing too.

0:54.2

Yes. So Morton is a Swedish company that showed up That's what I'm hearing too. Yes.

2:02.6

So Morton is a Swedish company that showed up on the scene a few years ago when Kipchogi was trying to break the two-hour marathon record. Now it's everywhere in the tour, the Iron Man, you name it. The kids love it also. It might be the best gels I've ever used. So the science behind Morton is about fueling with high carbs. Some riders are consuming over 100 grams of carbs per hour at the tour these days. If we tried that back in the day, we would have been sick to our stomachs on the side of the road. Yeah, absolutely. Morton doesn't even affect your stomach at all. So Morton has three main products, a drink, two kinds of gels, and now this new bar. George, I'm digging this bar. It's simple, tastes great, and it's easy to swallow. If you want to try out Morton, and I highly recommend you do our friends at the feed to put together a Morton tour pack. You can try out the drink, gels, and the new bars for only $28 bucks. That's 35% off. Head on over to thefeed.com, and it's right there on the homepage. Again, that's the feed.com. Today's episode of JB Squared is also brought to you by HVMN. We hear about it all the time. We talk about it all the time. Gee, just help me out here. And I don't believe this number. What percentage of this Peloton is using HVMN ketone IQs? Over 60% of the peloton. That's crazy. And it was cool. We had Michael Brandt, the CEO, on talking about a lot of the science of ketones and also a lot of the history, which I found fascinating. But the fact that 60% of this Peloton's using it,

2:17.6

some of the studies that have come out

2:19.1

with the benefits of sustained use of ketones

2:22.0

and ketone IQ is game changer.

2:25.0

And that's, you know,

2:25.8

it sort of points to the reason that the Pelotons using it.

2:28.6

A special offer for our listeners,

2:30.1

head on over to HVMN.com

2:33.2

and use the code, the Move 20. Again, that's HVMN.com and use the code the Move 20.
