It was a really busy weekend of sports and a lot of things to talk about here on KKHI.

Biggest event for me was the Masters. I love the

masters, but we'll save that here for a moment or two because we had just an unbelievable scene in

Lawrence as the national championship Jayhawks were paraded through the streets. Massachusetts

Street, 48 cars in the parade. Tens of thousands of people lined up, and it was just a feel-good day and

parade all over the place for the Jayhawk Nation. It really was an exceptional run about

standing basketball down the stretch for the Jayhawks to win this national title. We discussed maybe

about a month ago what the difference would be and how Kansas could accomplish their goals if they just continued to get better defensively. And they did that. They turned

into an outstanding defensive team. Gritty. They were challenged so many times in this tournament,

so many comebacks for opponents, and then they had the comeback of all comebacks themselves against North Carolina, trailing by 16 points,

stunningly coming from behind and winning it.

And what a scene in Lawrence.

I mean, sports parades are fun.

And we just got to give complete credit to the city of Lawrence, the entire community for the way they handled this, the night they won,

not having any trouble, big parades, thousands of people in a town that really isn't designed

to have that kind of traffic in there very frequently. They did a great job. And it was just a

really, really fun, feel good day for the Kansas Jayhawks. And doesn't everybody love a parade?

I mean, I guess not the K-State Missouri fans or whoever your team is if it's not Kansas.

Not so much for you, but, and these things are really cool. And when a team plays that hard,
