Hey, guys, what's going on? My name is Rob. I am the producer of Uncut with Jake Cutler. Our man, Jay, is out hunting this week. So we wanted to bring you a little bit of a different show, kind of a special show.

I'll look back at some of our best moments and favorite stories from the first year of Uncut with Jake Cutler. You're going to hear from a slew of awesome people who brought really incredible stories to the show, including Nate Bergazzi, Caroline Brian, Mark Cuban, Genie Buzz, Danny Gold, Sarah Merrill, Clay Travis, Pat McAfee, and yes, of course, Sophia Franklin. Nate Bergazzi. Yeah, let's say it right. Yeah, Bergazzi. Yeah, Bergazzi. Do you still get nervous? Did you ever get nervous? Yeah, yeah, man, at the beginning, you're just like, it's the worst. You're just so, you know, I remember just thinking because I knew I had to go, but I remember just thinking you wanted like the building to burn down. Yeah, like, you know, like you wanted to be an excuse that you could be like, dude, I was going to go the building burn down. Like I can't I can't do it. I can't. It's out of my hand. Yeah.

Get it out of your hands and go, I got it. But it was at the beginning. Yeah, you're just like, so I don't get nervous like that at the beginning. You're very excited. I get nervous. I mean, if I don't get if I go up there and don't get laughs. Right away, I mean, you can get you just get kind of hit and you feel your face get a little red and you get a little like, whoa, I got to get these. You know, like you snap back in it and like get the in like, let me get home and that and then I'm thinking of my joke real fast and that kind of stuff.

Now, you know, you've been on stage so much. I've just so many things that have happened. So many been through so much stuff that you kind of didn't go like, I can get through. Yeah, you know, you get excited. Yeah, I heard Tony fingernail who just won. I'm a big golf for fan and I'm fit to Tony. Yep. Just one, uh, but I like to describe what someone asked that he got nervous. And he said, we, I'm excited. Yeah. And I thought that was like a good. You're, you're, you're, you're exciting. It is nervous. But your nervous is just pushed into a different way. Yeah.

Yeah. I think if you don't get a little bit of nerves excitement, like it's not important to you. Yeah. Yeah. It's, it's going to for you guys, you're going to get hurt. Yeah. Uh, I'm going to lose crowds. They're not going to come any more. Like they, they, people can, an audience can tell when you don't care. Sure. Absolutely. And so they're, it's, it's, you learn to like do that. You know, yeah. I mean, will you get nervous? Like were you? Oh, he was like that. You're like excited. Yeah. I was excited. I was anxious. Yeah. You know, I, I mean, I, I, it was more like just the, the pregame. Like, hey, look, I'm ready to do this. Let's, let's do it. Yeah.

Yeah. Um, you know, the whole pregame, the lead up to it. You know, that's whenever, like you get a little anxious. Like you, you, I wanted to do well. Yeah. And so it was just like, all right. Let's go. Let's see. Would you get, like, people, these people always get mad because you, you're, you're not, you just seem like you show your emotions as much. Right. Like, they always like, dude, would you ever fill that where, like, people, like, you think they, you're like, you're like, dude, I'm into this. I'm sorry. I don't, I'm not screaming. Like, because I get it, I've had the same thing, not the same thing.

I don't know the same thing. I go to the SNS, the director is playing for the Chicago, but they're in, like, sometimes I would have it in podcasts. Like, if I do interviews, and I remember they'd be like, they feel like I'm so boring. Yeah. And I'm like, it's just how I talk, dude. I don't know what you want me to do. Like, it can't change. I can't change our, my act. They're like, it's just like so low energy. You're like, bro, I don't, what do you want? Like I'm just being me. Exactly. And so you're, I feel like it'd be like that where they just, you go, like, what do you, I'm not that guy. Like, I'm still, I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing. I'm doing my job.

I'm trying to do it to the best of my ability. And I got to a point like, I felt like I couldn't win. If I showed a motion, I was angry and I was about to do it. I didn't show motion. I didn't care. Yeah. So just got to a point where I was like, you know, what I can't win. So I'm just going to, I'm just going to do my job. And I'll go sit on the bench and, you know, in the, in the facility of practice and stuff. I was more vocal and more emotional and did all that stuff. But on game day, I was just like, I'm just going to literally just do my job and do my job.

Yeah, there's a lot of people build build checks like that. Like you feel like he's a guy you only see on TV. Like this guy, you could think he doesn't care at all. Yes. And he, and he cares greatly cares. Yeah. Yes. Yeah. I mean, if I didn't care. Like I wouldn't have taken the hits. I wouldn't have been out there doing it and trying to win. They don't think about your personnel. Like, I feel like sometimes people don't think you're like, that's, we all have personalities. And when you're on a stage like that, it's someone's watching that you don't think like, yeah, dude, that's just his personality. He's a little more chilled than like it's not. He's not.

He's not going to be as like I'm not an actor. I'm not a performer. Yeah. You know, I can't. I couldn't do my job and act a certain way at the same time. So I'm just not built that way. So yeah. So I mean, it took some heat for that. But I mean, I wouldn't change it. I wouldn't go back and do it differently. So I don't, I don't think I could. It'd been great if you're like, I didn't care. That would have been very funny to go. I'll be honest with you. If I walked in, you're like super animated right now. Even you're like, even you're like, yeah, I didn't care at any.

Not one day. I didn't care. Just cash and checks. Just cash and checks. Just get drilled. You're like, I could handle it. I didn't care. That's why I could handle it because I didn't care. Didn't care one bit. Yeah, stuff like a baby, really. Yeah. I'm blue. Best sleep my life is those those eight years. Sleep like shit now. Yeah. Yeah. Very cool guest. Carolyn Brian, the wife of Luke. Y'all been married for a while. Almost 15 years. Mm-hmm.

It's secrets tips has has a word marriage. Sure. Oh gosh. I don't think I don't think there is a secret. I think I don't think there is a secret. I think that if one person is done and out. Yeah. It's like is not going to work, it's too. It's too. It's, it's not going to walk. It's both.

If both people are willing to try, you know, we married a long time, we fight.

That's just normal.

That's marriage.

But if one person is done and out, you're doomed.

Oh, it's a wrap.

But if you're both, even if things are bad, but if you're both there going, I want to fight

for it, it can work.

You can figure it out.
