Particularly commending the NFL regarding their recent announcement of its COVID vaccination

policy. In case you missed it last week, the NFL announced this new policy to encourage

NFL players to get the COVID vaccine or run the risk of

forfeiting games. Listen to this, if an unvaccinated player or staff member is

shown to have caused an outbreak that forces a schedule change. The team

experiencing the outbreak will be held financially responsible for the

other club's expenses and if the game cannot be rescheduled, which they're not rescheduling many of them,

the team experiencing the outbreak will forfeit.

That's important because when it comes to playoff seating, the team will be credited with the loss, while the other team will be

credited with the win. If an outbreak occurs among vaccinated individuals in a breakthrough

infection, the NFL will try to minimize the competitive and fiscal disruption for both teams.

So there's a clear incentive for players to get vaccinated or run the risk of ruining their team's playoff chances.
