Summary

If there’s one name to know in men’s college basketball this season, it’s probably Cooper Flagg. The nation’s number one recruit is playing in his freshman season at Duke, and living up to all of the hype. But his college career is about to experience a new chapter on Saturday, when Flagg and the Blue Devils host North Carolina on ESPN. Jay Bilas, the voice of college basketball at ESPN, joins the show today. He’s bled Duke blue since joining the team in the early 1980’s. And while he’s no longer on the team, or on the coaching staff, he knows a thing or two about the most storied rivalry on the college hardwood. He breaks down what Flagg has brought to the Duke lineup, and explains what the latest one-and-done in college basketball is about to experience, in his first taste of the rivalry on Tobacco Road. that's where I met my wife. You know, my whole life would be substantially different. I tell people

0:50.9

all the time, like, I don't, you know, I don't think I'd be selling pencils on the street somewhere if I didn't go to Duke, but my life would look substantially different.

Some of the names over the course of those years, I mean, the history of this team, we'll go back to Grant Hill.

1:02.4

I'll say Christian Leightner, personal favorite, Trajandick, Paula Bunchero, we can move all the way up to Zion Williamson, who I once saw play, by the way, at Virginia, when he ran all the way across the key and swatted a ball into next week.

1:17.1

I was sitting on Press Row, and there were four scouts behind me.

1:20.3

Four notebooks slammed immediately because they were all like, this is over.

1:24.4

We figured it out.
