This is the reason interview with Nick Gillespie. My guest today is Jay Batacharya, a co-author of

the Great Barrington Declaration, and one of the plaintiffs in Murthy v. Missouri. That's the Supreme

Court case charging that the Biden administration and other parts of the federal government

illegally colluded with social media companies to suppress disfavored speakers, viewpoints, and

content. A decision in that case is imminent and a victory for Batacharya's side would make it

impossible for the government to pressure Twitter, Facebook, and other platforms to banter-squelch

legal speech. A professor of medicine at Stanford and a PhD economist,

but Atariah talks with me about his experience being blacklisted online because of his

criticisms of lockdowns and other COVID policies, the ways in which Donald Trump and Joe Biden

both fumbled responses to the pandemic and what the public health establishment

must do to regain the trust and confidence of the American public.

Thanks for having me, Nick. Nice to be back.

You are a plaintiff in a case in front of the Supreme Court that will be decided sometime

in the near future. We're taping this in mid-May.

Murthy v. Missouri, what is the crux of the case?

So the crux is that the Biden administration essentially set up its government so that it would

go to social media companies, tell the social media companies, you must censor

these people and these ideas, where they would list out the ideas, you know, ideas like

the evidence on masking is not so good, that there is immunity after COVID recovery, that

the vaccines don't stop you from getting and spreading COVID, right? So stuff that's within the realm of science.
