| 0:22.3 | passage of ancient wisdom designed to help you find strength and insight here in everyday life. |
| 0:28.9 | And on Wednesdays, we talk to some of our fellow students of ancient philosophy, well-known |

| 0:40.9 | them become who they are and also to find peace and wisdom in their actual lives. But first, |
| 0:47.9 | we've got a quick message from one of our sponsors. |
| 0:59.4 | Hey, it's Ryan Holiday. Welcome to another episode of the Daily Stoic Podcast. One of my favorite radio stations here in Austin is |
| 1:10.4 | 97.1. That's ACL radio. And I've gotten to know Andy Langer there pretty well. He interviewed me for the Texas monthly podcast, but |
| 1:18.4 | he's basically like Austin's DJ. And I have found so much good music through this guy's. He actually came out and we had dinner |
| 1:26.4 | the other night here at Storehouse, which is across from the painted porch and Bastrop. I said before that I listen to music when I |
| 1:34.4 | write. And if you got the pre-order bonuses for discipline or courage, you probably heard of this band, |
| 1:41.4 | Michigan, or who I quite enjoy. I like his song Let Down. I like better his song of reds that I really like. Just an awesome |
| 1:52.4 | musician that I think more people should know. And as we talk about in today's episode, he has written a hard road recently. |
| 2:01.4 | And I was just someone I was very much looking forward to having on the podcast. And if you can, if you wonder why my voice is a little |
| 2:10.4 | scratchy in this episode, we talk about that at the beginning because I was recording the daily dad audio book. So selfishly wanted to ask him some |
| 2:19.4 | advice on vocal strength. Anyways, you can go to Michigan or band.com for two or dates. You can follow at Michigan or band on |
| 2:26.4 | Instagram, YouTube and Twitter. And you can stream all his stuff on Shopify. If you want to support an artist, the best thing you can |
| 2:34.4 | usually do is buy merch from them. That's where there are the fewest people coming between them and the money. And it's always a |
| 2:42.4 | great way to support artists. Here is my conversation with Jason Singer of Michigan and thanks to my friend Andy Langer for |
| 2:51.4 | bringing him to my attention. And I think you're going to thank me for putting this on your playlist as well. |
