Unrelated to reality TV: Most of eastern Iowa — including our hometown, Cedar Rapids — experienced an inland hurricane on Monday. Thousands of homes and businesses were damaged from in excess of 100 mph, causing countless downed trees and power lines. Nearly the entire city of 150,000+ will be without electricity for another week, if not longer. The clean-up will take months.
