We have our friend Jason Leisure of the Chicago Sun Times on the line.

And Jason, the Bears, have a coach who knows how to design offense and uses a lot of trick plays,

and they are scoring points, having explosive plays, and they are second in the NFL in rushing. This is a fun moment to be a Bears

fan, isn't it? There's a lot of good going on and I don't think you can get so caught up in it

and it seems like the Bears didn't and think that they are close. But there's so much good going

on right now that you just, part of it is what you just highlighted

Matt where you feel just eight games in you feel very confident that you're in good hands

with Ben Johnson. Not just the creativity that he brings, although you saw a lot of that Sunday

with the play designs. But also you see a guy who is pretty good, pretty sharp at

the end of each half for a guy who is just starting out as a head coach. And you see a guy that

comes up with solutions. This is the biggest thing that I have been looking for from Ben Johnson

as an offensive play caller that I feel like we did

not get from Matt Nagy in his four seasons was somebody that will come up with solutions on

the fly. I was first thinking it during that Raiders game where they're struggling so much

with the pass rush and with Max Crosby that that's, it's not Ben Johnson's

fault, I guess. He didn't build this offensive line entirely, but he's the coach. He's got to

figure it out. He's got to come up with the solution and not just have their offense go into

the tank for the day. And I feel like that's what would have happened back when Matt Nagee

was the coach. And instead, you see some ability to pivot, some ability to find creative solutions on the fly.

And that's a really good sign no matter how the rest of the season goes.

We've talked a lot about how this felt like a game that the Bears always lose.

And that's hyperbole.
