following the story closely. Welcome, Jason. Thanks for having me. I appreciate it, Peter. How are you?

Good, but I want to know, are you going to pay $20 a month to have your checkmark verified or guaranteed?

You know, I think like it does certainly hits you at that, what's that, you know, the price point of your ego, right?

It's like, my ego is probably worth $19.99 a month, but 20 might be a bridge too far for me.

I don't know if I could get there.

It's just absurd that the notion that you're going to somehow take your heaviest users

and then make them pay for basically creating the whole propulsion of the site.

Although I do kind of like, I mean, Twitter is, by definition, masochistic and sort of punishing the people who use it the most. Not just, it's bad enough that you're addicted to Twitter. Now we're going to literally just take money from you. But we'll stop the ruse. As you all know, Jason is not just a Twitter expert. He is the Wall Street Journal's Sports and Humor columnist,

which is one of the most hilarious titles there is.
