With a canopy of cypresses and pines towering over lumpy,

the forest has an ethereal beauty that feels just like Tolkien's land of the hobbits, Middle Earth, or the forest of Endor in Star Wars.

The well-marked paths wind through the forest 7,400 acres, and those who step off the trails can

easily hide deep within what is known in Japan as the Sea of Trees.
