And we're very happy to have you here with us this week. We have some exciting announcements to discuss the first half of the show.

And then we're going to answer some questions from our monthly mailbag. But for those of you who have listened to us for a while, you know we always start with a crystal of the week and an animal of the week.

Deb would you like to start with our animal of the week?

Well, absolutely. I'd be happy to. Our animal of the week is one that is mythological. I've only done this a couple of other times where I have discussed a mythological for a gay person. Actually, in this case, this one has six appendages.

But when it's my turn to talk about some of our announcements, I'll explain why I have chosen to talk about Centaur's C-E-N-T-A-U-R.

And a centaur is that wonderful being that is part horse and part human. And they are amazing beings in that they are extremely wise.

They are connected to astrology and a deep understanding of the cosmos and the world beyond us.

In the wonderful book, The Magical World of Harry Potter, a centaur is described as noble. And one of the most noble of them all was a centaur whose name was Chiron, who had been taught the arts, such as medicine and hunting.

And had been taught those skills by the Greek god and goddess Apollo and Artemis, who are brother and sister gods and goddesses.

And he founded a school where some of the great heroes, including Achilles and Odysseus, studied. And so he was immortal as all centaur's are, Chiron was.

But a wound from a poison arrow threatened to cause him unceasing agony. So he chose to die.

But this, the god of gods, the king of the gods in Greek mythology recognized his wonderful benevolence and his ability to be a teacher.

And so rather than just letting him die, placed him in the stars as the constellation Sagittarius.

And then so he's, so the notion of centaur is a connected to wisdom and our connection to the astrology and our connection to myths and legends and the idea of a belief beyond ourselves.

So that's the gift that centaur's give us.

Well, that sounds really cool. I can't wait to hear more about it.

The crystal of the week is a listener request and it's, she asked us to discuss diamonds.

So it's interesting to look at stones we think of as, you know, just gems that we wear on our finger.

Now, I'm not going to go into, because I don't want to get all the emails of, we all know how diamonds are mined and, and all the mess that goes with that.

I'm just talking about the metaphysical qualities of diamond right now.

The legends represent love, faithfulness and strength. They are the hardest mineral of all stones and they are said to bring purity and clarity of thought.
