Hello, well, we're over halfway into another month, which means we're getting into your

encounters with the paranormal, with our first listener special of the year. Bring out the

claxon, anything out of the ordinary, any sign that you've seen or had a spooky experience.

We're here to get stuck into it with

you and offer perhaps a little bit of guidance welcome to another listener special episode now as you know

i like to start the show off with a little tweak of fact or fiction. Listen out for

the answer at the end of the show. One of our listener stories today takes us to Edinburgh, so I want

to know, is it fact or fiction that every close on the Royal Mile is haunted? Is that fact or a load

of old nonsense? Find out at the end of the show. Now let's start off with

Christine. She writes, are dream visitations actually visitations or is it just our brain

sorting out the mishmash of images it has in storage? Though it's funny that I have had two such dreams

following the deaths of loved ones some weeks after their death and they both did the same thing.

The first was my dad, racked with cancer thin and yellow at the end, and in my dream he was

sat in a chair in front of me, tanned with a gleaming white shirt, as I remembered

him from earlier years. He put out his arms to me, and I awoke. The second was my ex-sister-in-law

and good friend. I helped her a lot towards the end. She was once bony with short red-died hair,

lovely smile, and that is exactly how I saw her on a chair before me.

Not the emaciated, long, grey-haired woman as she was towards the end.

I sorted a funeral and everything. She had no family. I can understand a motive for such a visitation.

They are possibly saying that they are fine now. But what about when someone appears from

the past who you didn't know that well and suddenly there they are in your dream? Which is what I meant

when I asked, does your brain pick things from memory randomly? Interestingly, I mainly dream of people
