New Tottenham technical director Johan Lange is thought to have been driving the recruitment for this deal having faced stiff competition from Barcelona and want to complete an agreement as soon as possible. Bergvall had been in Barcelona on Tuesday to hold talks over a summer move with the teenager having lunch with Barca sporting director Deco along with members of his family. Bergvall has made 29 appearances for Djurgarden and made his debut for Sweden in January.
