It's the January 6th episode.

Yes, I'm sure it's kind of a holiday of sorts for our listeners, every January 6th.

But this is about the fifth anniversary of January 6th, five years later.

So an auspicious anniversary, you might say.

And we head on, I just think the absolute

right person to have this particular conversation with Robert Draper, the New York Times writer,

he's had a fascinating career. But mostly we had him on because in 2022, in the months following

January 6th, Robert published a book, Weapons of Mass

Delusion When the Republican Party Lost Its Mind, and it is essentially a deeply reported look

at the Republican Party in the lead up to on the day of, and then especially the 18 months

following January 6th. And it's just, I say this at the start

of the conversation, but it has had such an influence on how I understand January 6th, what it said

about the Republican Party and kind of the nooks and crannies of the Republican Party,

as it was losing its mind. You know, We're talking about people like Marjorie Taylor

Green, Nick Flentes, Charlie Kirk, Paul Gosar, Paul Gosar, Kevin McCarthy, Raphael Cruz, Ted Cruz's father,

you know, like offering a prayer following a presentation by the cyber ninjas in some Godfors
