Hi, this is Josh Marshall, and this is the Josh Marshall podcast.

You know, last week we talked about the Supreme Court nomination hearings.

And Kate and I kind of got very deep into different aspects of the hearings

and the politics of them and so on and so forth.

That was kind of wall to wall what the news was last week.

And now we are, you know, you've probably heard this, but it seems pretty clear

that whatever continuing controversy and complaints and scandal-mongering,

she's going to get confirmed.

Joe Manchin announcing his support kind of settled that.

So that's a bit off the radar. And now we have two, we have two resurgent stories

that have kind of pushed back into, you know, on to the front pages just in the last day or so.

And one is, we're going to talk a lot about this during this episode,

is more on the January 6th investigation and January 6th.

And one thing there, as you've seen, is Ginny Thomas.

And the fact that she was basically involved in the insurrection.

She was there the day of, but much more importantly, she was heavily involved

in all the stuff that led up up to it in the kind of the coup.
