Good Wednesday morning from Washington, where if you're feeling a bit of ice strain, maybe some carpal tunnel from refreshing the needle all night, I am right there with you.

Unlike November's election week, we actually woke up this morning with a pretty good idea of how those two critical Senate runoff races in Georgia

played out last night and talk about every vote counting. Bringing Democrats within arm's reach of

the Senate majority, Raphael Warnock was declared the winner of his race over Republican Senator Kelly

Leffler in the wee hours of the morning around 2 a.m. Warnock is about to make history as the first

elected black Democratic senator from the South and the seventh elected black senator ever.

If you include appointed senators, he'd be the 11th. Meanwhile, Democrat John Ossoff started overtaking

Republican incumbent David Perdue in the vote count. And while that race is still

uncalled, both Democrats' leads are expected to grow today. That's because there are about 100,000

votes still left to count, and many of them are from Georgia's Democratic strongholds. All that is to say,

unless we see a big shift in those uncounted votes, get ready for full

democratic control of both houses of Congress and the presidency. Two Democratic Georgia wins

would jolt some serious life into Joe Biden's agenda. There are already rallying cries from

progressives to go big and bold. Welcome to life in the majority, Chuck Schumer, who, by the way, is poised to

become the first Jewish Senate Majority Leader if Assov, who's also Jewish, wins his race.

The GOP implosion in Georgia has already prompted a blame game within the party, and it casts

a new light on President Donald Trump. He's just fuming about fresh, unfounded election conspiracy theories,

and listen to this. In four years, Trump has lost his presidency, the House, and now potentially the

Senate for the GOP. And he's pressuring Republicans in Congress to fight back today by refusing to certify

the electoral college votes that will cement Biden's win.
