As the world waits for definitive proof that a baby has been cloned,

we can amuse ourselves by reading about the cult that claims to have done it,

the Raleans who believe that extraterrestrials ceded our planet with human life here's a clip from CNN's crossfire with Tucker Carlson

clearly aliens must know that this child has been born

if in fact she has been born have they told you what they think

if they contacted you what's the alien view on cloning

well I don't have any communication with them

and I don't care to tell you the truth today.

You know, the basis of our religion is to say that we don't believe in chance like evolution.

We don't believe in God that nobody ever saw.

Perhaps the most remarkable part of the story is that the news outlets led with it before there even was a story or a baby,

before there was any proof that this group had accomplished anything other than grabbing attention

with its extravagant claims. The cult leader, who calls himself Rao, has said quite plainly that

that is enough for him. But what about the rest of us? Adam Bly, editor-in-chief of Seed magazine, says

we have all been badly served.

I think that from the onset, there was a lack of knowledge as to whether this was in fact

a clone baby. I think that was the first problem. I think that by jumping the gun and by

assuming this was a clone that I was actually born, the story became who was cloning the baby,

who actually achieved this scientific feat.
