Let's go back to the pre-dawn hours of January 27th, 1955 in New York City. 78 year old

old Stella Rubinstein awoke to the sound of angry raised voices.

She couldn't make out what they were saying, but it was clear they were men and they were arguing, loud enough to filter through the shut door of her bedroom.
