But first, avoiding questions by attacking the messenger. The Senate trial of

President Trump is continuing and Trump's stonewalling is continuing too.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo knows a lot about the Ukraine scheme, so he's exactly the kind of Trump official whose testimony might be valuable in the coming days.

And of course in the coming days we'll find out if any new witnesses will be called at the trial.

In the meantime, reporters are the ones gathering new information about who knew, what, when, and

why.

And Pompeo's hostility toward the press has reached a new height or a new low.
