Hi friends. I am Annie F Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

These are the stories of Jesus Christ's life on earth, the friendships, the

parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles. Here on Let's Read

the Gospels, that's what we do. We read those four books. As you remember in

2023, we read all of those each month, three chapters a day for 30 days so you can

actually scroll back in this feed and find 12 different sets of the Gospels

read in that way with different combinations of versions and the order we read it in

but this year we are doing one chapter a day so that's combinations of versions and the order we read it in.

But this year we are doing one chapter a day,

so that's how it's gonna work today.

One chapter a day, you can listen or read along

in your own Bible and then I'll mention a verse

or an idea that stood out to me and then I'll pray and that's it.

Today is January 24th. I'll be reading Mark 3 from the new international

version. Mark 3. Another time Jesus went into the synagogue and a man with a shriveled hand was there.

Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath.

Jesus said to the man with a shriveled hand, stand up in front of everyone.

Then Jesus asked him,

which is lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil,

to save life or to kill?
