Hey, good morning. I'm Playbook co-author Rachel Bade. It's Tuesday, January 23rd, and it's primary day in New Hampshire.

But first, here's a look at what else is driving the day. President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and their spouses

will attend a campaign rally this afternoon in northern Virginia. It's the first time the two

couples have campaigned together since Biden and Harris launched their re-election campaign,

and the rally will focus on abortion rights on the day after the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

Virginia is obviously among the states where Republicans

have sought to tighten abortion laws after Roe was overturned in 2022. In the Senate,

negotiators say they're moving closer to a border security agreement that could unlock supporting

aid for Ukraine, but the deal's not done yet. Lead Democrat Chris Murphy told reporters yesterday

that is still possible to start voting this week, but said some appropriations issues still need

to be worked out first. And by the way, Senator Mike Lee of Utah, a Republican, says he wants

three weeks to actually read this bill once it's out before they vote on it. We'll see how that goes.
