this is the search for extraterrestrial life. But this comes from another galaxy.

We touched on that briefly.

Well, it seems to me that the media likes to pick up on these stories and then give

it that sort of alien communication ACOM spin

to it. Because that helps to grab more interest, more viewers or whatever the case may be,

but from a purely scientific perspective, when we're looking at another galaxy, it's a long, long ways away.

We're talking about billions of years for a signal to get here.

Even if it was something from an alien intelligence, I'm not sure really what the purpose of it would be,

but scientists don't even think that that's what it is.
