Passion and its consequences and repercussions can be found in the films of writer-director

Jane Campion, from certainly sweetie to Holy Smoke to one of my favorite films of piano.

She was last year for her film in the cut.

Her newest is a look at the love story and triangle involving John Keats, Fannie Brown, and Charles

Armitage Brown. It's bright star, Jane. First of all, thanks so much for coming back.

Thank you, Elvis. The last scene, and it's not giving anything away, the funeral procession down

the Spanish steps, which for people who know is where the Shelley Keats' lodgings are,

brought a tear to my.

It's such a profound thing to see because the film is really about the emotional power of poetry

and the lives it has and the way it lives on.

That must have been a huge point of inspiration for you,

just that life of passion and poetry that lives on after Keats.

You see, for me, I discovered the power of the triangle story

through reading Andrew Motion's biography.

The story that Motions biography tells is a love story that caught me by surprise.

It's so incredibly powerful and poignant and delicious and surprising and patient.

And I think you get to a certain point and the letters start arriving. And I suddenly went,

oh my God, this is so intimate. This is exactly what Fannie Braun would have been reading.

The sort of way those two communicated was very honest.
