Tonight are we reading Part 6, Chapter 11 and 12 of Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen.

In the previous chapter, Catherine is finally united with Isabella, who is now completely

engrossed with James. To Catherine's delight,

Mr Tilney has returned to Bath. At the evening's ball, Catherine actively avoids John Thorpe,

and is thrilled when Mr. Tilney eventually engages her for a dance, despite Thorpe's offended response.

They enjoy a very agreeable evening together, and Catherine is so excited about their interaction

that she barely notices her other friends, leaving the ball early with the Allens, her spirits soaring.

Now that we're caught up with the story so far, let's get ourselves ready for sleep.
