chapters 25 and 26 of Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen.

In the previous chapters, Catherine Taw's Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen. In the previous chapters, Catherine Taw's Northanger Abbey, finding it surprisingly modern

and not at all Gothic, but her suspicions about General Tilney's role in his wife's death

deepen when she's prevented from seeing certain rooms. After seeing Mrs. Tilney's

monument, Catherine explores a forbidden room alone, only to discover it is an ordinary bedroom,

exposing her Gothic fantasies as absurd. Henry Tilney then confronts her about her baseless suspicions,

and Catherine is deeply ashamed and embarrassed. Now that we're caught up with the story so far,

let's get ourselves ready for sleep. Start by taking a deep, relaxing breath and settle
