A 50-year-old man is being sought in connection with her death.

27-year-old Kelly Owen was discovered deceased in her bed on the afternoon of Wednesday,

January 15th in South Farmingdale, New York.

According to police, there were no signs of forced entry.

Kelly Owen was a nursing student and the mother of a six-year-old daughter.

They lived with Kelly's parents and brother in a house on 1st Avenue.

The Nassau County Police Department told NBC News that Kelly woke up around 8 a.m. on

Wednesday morning and got her daughter ready to be picked up for school.

She was supposed to be at the school around 3 in the afternoon to assist with the afterschool
