Today's guest is a writer, a designer and an influence, whose specialty is defining the line

between happiness and ambition and making the best of both. Jamie Varen is a captain of her own

branding and design company and a prolific writer whose work has been featured on the Huffington

Post, Teen Vogue, Thought Catalog, and many, many more places. Today we're going to talk to Jamie

about acceptance and self-love, the power of writing, being an entrepreneur, and her upcoming book

Radically Content, being satisfied in an endlessly dissatisfied world. Jamie has been sharing her

life and experience through blogs, articles, and social media for over a decade, and I'm so excited

to sit down with her today and talk to her about her journey. She inspires me endlessly to look inside

and really figure out how it is I'm feeling and what it is I need to do with my feelings,

and I think she'll do the same for all of you, so let's get started.

Jamie, I'm so excited that you have joined us on the show today. Thank you so much for taking the time.

Of course, I'm honored that you'd even ask me. Oh my gosh, I'm such a fan of your work and your writing,

your perspective, the way that you manage to be so vulnerable and invite people in,

but you also clearly know how to set boundaries for yourself, and that is not an easy tight wrap

walk. That's taken a while, so appreciate that acknowledgement. It was used to be, here's everything

that I feel all the time, and I'm overwhelmed with feeling drained by that, and now it's, I know the

things that I want to share, that I want to be the conversations that I want to be a part of,

and the rest I have to leave to someone else to talk about. It strikes me as one example of the

both-and, how you have to figure out to be who you are, and whatever the finishing of that sentence

might be for you, and something that I love so much about your work is that you talk about

being both satisfied and content, and ambitious and driven, and those are things that can feel
