I have returned from holiday to the worst news for cats since they made the film of the

musical.

A cat in the UK has coronavirus.

But most importantly, the cat is fine.

Everything is fine.

It's not a threat to humanity.

It seems to have caught the infection from its owner who had tested positive earlier.

And how sniffly knows, got tested by the vet, had coronavirus, but everything ended

very happily.

Is there any kind of greater truth in this story?

It's the first British cat to have coronavirus, but it's not the first cat in the world.

There's been plenty some in the United States, some in places like South Korea, so this

has happened many a time before, but don't get too worried about it.

Don't worry about the Moggy on the street corner, because this really is a virus that spreads

from one person to another.

And for the first time, it's our pets that have caught in the firing line, rather than

us winging about, always catching these viruses from animals.

Yeah, because normally it's pigs and bats and pangolins giving them to us.

Yeah, I know.

Well, maybe we're just returning the favour to Mother Nature, you know, just spreading
