All right, ladies, good evening.

Clearly, I'm not Jen.

My name is Anne Lincoln Hallabah.

I am, Jen is a dear friend of mine, and I've filled in for her a few times within the study.

I was a part of this study for several years and loved it and

love every opportunity.

I have to come back and spend time with you.

Jen is actually in Nashville this week, some of you may have seen on Twitter,

some other places that she has the opportunity to do some teaching that's going to be recorded for Lifeway and a study that will become available.

So be praying for her this week.

She'll be teaching tonight, tomorrow night and Thursday night I believe.

But I am here with you tonight

as we venture into James Chapter 2,

and I'm so excited about what we get to look at this week.

So last week, we saw that genuine faith lives in active obedience to God's word.

It not only hears God's word, but it responds in action.

It does God's word.

And we also saw at the end of chapter one

and what James talked about as pure religion that genuine faith

purely lived out manifest itself in care for the week and care for the vulnerable in

particular the orphan the widow those within our community that are overlooked
