Dr. James Loomis is, you should. He was in the Game Changers. He's the medical director at the Barnard

Medical Center. He has been a plant-based medical doctor for a very long time. I'll let him tell you

how long because I'm not even sure. He's also worked with pro athletes and has a quite an extensive resume.

And so I'm excited to dig in and talk about plant-based nutrition with Dr. Lemus.

So I'd love to start with your story, of course. I think everybody is curious how a medical doctor gets turned on to nutrition and then to plant-based

nutrition and then makes a career of it because obviously this was not one of the tracks in med

school, right? Exactly right. That's exactly right. I mean, you know, I did have a little bit of nutrition education in medical school, but like most doctors, even today, sadly, it was really glorified biochemistry class. And it wasn't about food. It was about what food was made out of, right? So we learned about protein and fat and fiber and vitamins and such. And then we learned all the diseases that you get when
