When these books were put together, did you imagine that they would be the

the critics' choices that they became?

No, man, like the first one, Titan Sinking was just done for fun really because there wasn't

a book about 1995, which that one's about. And I was just like, man, like it's an interesting year. People think it's a bad year and it is in many respects, but behind the scenes, it's fascinating. So I was like, I'd love to read more about it. And there was nothing so that I'll just, I'll do it myself, you know, I'll write myself and did a lot of research and, you know, spoke to a lot of people and it turned out really well and obviously became very

popular so i was tied at that point to doing the rest of them but no i didn't expect it at all
