About a week ago, Yoni-Aprobaum wrote a very compelling cover story for the Atlantic

called The Case for impeachment. In it he makes three basic arguments for why we should

impeach Donald Trump. The first is the moral case. I fully agree with that case we don't need to go back over it here. The second is the

legal case. Yoni essentially argues that you don't have to have broken any

obvious laws in order to be removed from office.

It is enough that you have consistently attacked liberal democracy in a way that is concerning. I can't evaluate the legal

argument, I'm not a lawyer, but it seemed quite persuasive to me as well. The third argument that Joni made was strategic.

He said that impeaching Trump would have all kinds of good consequences. It would make it harder for Trump

to control the narrative. It would distract the White House so much that it would

become much more difficult for him to actually change the country in the ways he is trying to at the moment.
